Two brief Citywide power outages, each under five minutes, are scheduled for Tuesday, April 15, at 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM to allow for essential Grand Marais Public Utilities substation maintenance.
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is available on Tuesdays at the Cook County Community Center from 9 am to 3 pm. This program offers tax help to seniors and people of low to moderate income. No appointment is needed. First come, first served.

A spring gardening workshop on planting herbs led by Cook County Master Gardeners will be held on Tuesday, April 15, from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Cook County Community Center. Registration is required and is available at z.umn.edu/PlantingHerbs.
Bone Builders is a group exercise weight training program that was created for adults who are interested in preventing and reducing osteoporosis. Bone Builders meets at the Lutsen Town Hall on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 am.
Age-Friendly Business Training presented by the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging will be held on Wednesday, April 16, from 10 am to noon at Cook County Higher Education. Registration and more information is available at 218-529-7525 or on the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging Facebook page.
All are welcome to the Hovland Death Cafe, a safe and confidential place where losses and griefs of all kinds are shared. The April Hovland Death Cafe will be held on Wednesday, April 16, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church. Hosted by Suzanne Sherman, Pat Campanaro, Margy Nelson.
The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall. Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics. The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.
