The Finland Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 5 to 6:30 pm at the Clair Nelson Center pavilions.
The Cook County Historical Society hosts the 4th annual “Stories that Matter: Women of Cook County” event at the Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery on Thursday, July 30, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
This year will feature stories from local photographer Maude Toftey, who was a teacher in Grand Marais and a hobby photographer who took photos for the Cook County News Herald. The Cook County Historical Society leads Harbor History Walking Tours on Fridays from 7 to 8:30 pm (weather permitting). Interested participants can meet outside the History Museum and should be able to walk approximately a mile on uneven surfaces. More information at cookcountyhistory.org.

The Muffin Man, Kevin Kager, reads his favorite picture on the beachside by Drury Lane Books on Saturdays at 11 am.
Weekly nature presentations are held on the front porch of Chik-Wauk Museum (in case of inclement weather, the presentations will be held indoors at the Nature Center) on Mondays at 1 pm. All are welcome.

Care Partners is offering a new opportunity for caregivers to gather for casual conversation and mutual encouragement. This monthly meeting is open to anyone who is caring for an older friend or family member, and offers a chance to visit with others who share the caregiving journey. Led by Care Partners volunteers Kathy Reeves and Kay Costello, the group will meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 1 pm at The Hub.
