The Cook County Historical Society hosts the 4th annual “Stories that Matter: Women of Cook County” event at the Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery on Thursday, July 30, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
This year will feature stories from local photographer Maude Toftey, who was a teacher in Grand Marais and a hobby photographer who took photos for the Cook County News Herald. Due to the popularity of the event, advanced reservations will be required. More information and registration are available at cookcountyhistory.org.
