A general election will be held in Cook County on November 5, 2024, to elect candidates for the offices listed below.

• One Mayor, incumbent Tracy Benson – Two-Year-Term
• One City Councilor, incumbent Craig Schulte – Four-Year-Term
• One City Councilor, incumbent Michael Garry – Four-Year-Term
• One City Councilor, incumbent William Lovaas – Two-Year-Term

The filing period for these offices is open now and ends at 5 pm on Tuesday, August 13.

Candidates for the offices can file with the City of Grand Marais at the Grand Marais Library, 104 2nd Ave W, Grand Marais, Minnesota. 

The forms and handouts in the packet handed out to candidates who file at the Office of the Secretary of State are available through the Secretary of State website.
