The 2023 Gunflint Mail Run Sled Dog Race will take place Saturday, January 7th at Trail Center Lodge.  This year’s race will feature two classes, a 65-mile 8-dog race, and a 100-mile 12-dog race.  Both races start finish and layover at Trail Center Lodge which is located about 25 miles up the Gunflint Trail from Grand Marais.  Volunteers are needed to staff road crossings, provide traffic control, and help get teams into the start chute.  More information, including details on how to sign up to volunteer, is available at gunflintmailrun.com.
