Superior National Forest Clean-up event
Tread Lightly Off-Road and the Cook County ATV Club are hosting a Superior National Forest Clean-Up event. Tread Lightly and the US Forest Service have identified some major “dump” areas in a couple of local pits and on trails and will be hauling the trash out on August 13-14. The clubs are encouraging others to also do clean-up on their favorite trail. There will be dumpsters available for trash collected at the Tofte and Gunflint Ranger Stations. Meet at the Cook County Highway Department, 609 4th Avenue East, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 13 to help. More information available from Scott Benolken at Benolken.sa@gmail.com.
