Public health supervisor shares thoughts on front page Star Tribune article

The Star Tribune, the largest newspaper in Minnesota, featured a front page article in its Sunday (Dec. 20) edition about the local effort in Cook County to slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep the case count low.

Cook County Public Health Supervisor Grace Grinager is quoted extensively in the article, as is Dr. Kurt Farchmin and others in the community, including local business owners.

WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Grinager Dec. 21 to get her reaction to the article and to reflect on the community effort to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

Other topics discussed during the WTIP interview include an update on the recent saliva test distribution that took place throughout the county and the role public health will play with regard to the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine in Cook County.
