Sheriff’s Office investigating multiple vehicle thefts at Tire & Auto Lodge
The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of three vehicles from Tire & Auto Lodge in Grand Marais.
The three vehicles were stolen on Thursday, Aug. 14. The following day, upon discovering the missing vehicles, the auto repair shop reported the thefts to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.
As of Monday, Aug. 18, Cook County Sheriff Pat Eliasen told WTIP that two vehicles have since been returned to Tire & Auto Lodge. One of the vehicles was missing until yesterday, but had been “returned overnight,” Eliasen said.
The Sheriff’s Office has also located one of the other stolen vehicles, a few blocks away from the Tire & Auto Lodge. All three stolen vehicles have now been found and accounted for.
No suspects have been identified in the thefts at this time, Eliasen said. The Sheriff’s Office did not provide the make or model of the stolen vehicles. The case is under investigation.
The Cook County Sheriff’s Office said if anyone has information regarding this incident, to call the Cook County Sheriff’s Office at 218-387-3030.
