Sheriff’s Office seeking information on abandoned huskies
The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is looking for assistance from the public in locating the owners of two dogs apparently abandoned on the Sawbill Trail in Tofte September 21.
According to the sheriff’s office, a witness observed a vehicle stop and drop the dogs off along the side of the road. The parties removed any collars or identification. Dog food was tossed in the ditch near the dogs, which are huskies.
The dogs are in the care of Arrowhead Animal Rescue, the local organization that cares for lost and abandoned pets. Arrowhead Animal Rescue said the dogs seem to be in good health and are friendly.
Anyone who recognizes the dogs or who has any information that could lead to the owners is asked to call the Cook County Sheriff’s Office at 218-387-3030.
