A Story of Protecting Land and Water Near the BWCA
The Nature Conservancy has acquired 2,110 acres of inholdings within Superior National Forest. The property, which is located near the Boundary Waters, includes trout streams, large white pines and spruce and wild lakes. The lands are highly resilient and will help nature adapt to climate change. The former landowner, Mike Freed, sold the land to TNC at a significant discount as his gift to the people of Minnesota.
