Vikings will play Cromwell-Wright in first round of section playoffs Thursday
The Cook County Vikings boys basketball team wrapped up the regular season by winning four of their last six games, finishing with an 8-13 overall record. The team heads into the section playoffs as the 7 seed and will skip past the play-in round for the first time since 2019. The first-round matchup for the Vikings is on the road against the 2-seed Cromwell-Wright on Thursday.
In other news from the team, three Vikings earned recognition in the Polar League Conference. Junior Rohan Rude and senior Recko Helmerson-Skildum were named 2nd team Polar League All-Conference. Junior Denali Blackwell finished 3rd in conference MVP voting.
