WTIP hosts community conversation one year into pandemic

It’s been one year since WTIP started its coverage of the coronavirus and reporting local news on the COVID-19 pandemic. The station’s first interview on COVID-19 came March 3, 2020, in an interview with Cook County Public Health Supervisor Grace Grinager.

For the past 12 months, WTIP has shared daily updates on what is happening in Cook County and the North Shore, as the pandemic went from abstract news to reality in our community.

WTIP hosted a community conversation program Thursday, March 4, looking back on a year’s worth of COVID news and information, discussing where the community is at now as more vaccines are distributed and to take a look at what’s to come as the pandemic continues.
