Officials provide updates on Little Knife Fire at Lutsen Town Hall

The U.S. Forest Service and the National Incident Management Organization (NIMO) held a town hall during the Lutsen Township meeting, where officials said recent rainfall had helped slow fire activity. While the fire has shown minimal growth over the past several days, officials cautioned that wildfires remain unpredictable and conditions can change quickly.

During the question-and-answer session, residents asked how the fires are being managed and how they should prepare for the different levels of the “Ready, Set, Go” evacuation system.
