County commissioner candidates weigh in on critical issues as Election Day nears
A total of seven candidates joined WTIP for two different primaries this summer to hear from local residents trying to fill two seats on the Cook County Board of Commissioners. After the primary election in August, four candidates emerged, including two for the Cook County District 2 seat and two others looking to be the next commissioner representing District 4.
All four of these candidates joined WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs the final installment of the 2020 candidate forums.
Topics covered in the forum include the local response to COVID-19, the Cook County Public Health and Human Services Department, a strained political climate in Cook County, housing and zoning issues, political signs being stolen from local yards and other news relevant to the 2020 election.
