COMET - Changing Our Mental & Emotional Trajectory Training

COMET (Changing Our Mental and Emotional Trajectory) Community Training will be held on Friday, November 6, from 2 to 4 pm at Cook County Higher Education. The interactive training teaches participants how to reach out in a meaningful, respectful, and supportive way to friends, coworkers, or acquaintances who seem to be struggling somewhere on the continuum between “wellness” and “mental health crisis”.

Spirit of the Wilderness Community Art Show, "The Art of Sabbath," Opening Reception

The Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery hosts the 15th annual Spirit of the Wilderness Community Art Show, themed “The Art of Sabbath”. The exhibit opens with a public reception on Friday, November 6, from 5 to 7 pm.

The American Legion Unit 413 hosts BINGO on Friday, November 6th at Up Yonder, 6- 8 pm.  All are welcome.

Ryan Vine author event

The Grand Marais Public Library welcomes poet Ryan Vine on Saturday, November 7 at 12:30 pm.  Vine will be reading from his second poetry collection, The Cave, and answering questions during the one-hour program.

Into the Cook County Historical Society Archives

The Cook County Historical Society hosts “Into the Cook County Historical Society Archives,” an introductory training workshop designed for community members who want to get involved with CCHS to help process and organize their collections.

Events will be held at the Cook County History Museum on Saturday, November 7 at 2 pm and Tuesday, November 10 at 4 pm. Open to the public and requires no prior archival experience.

Stone Dragon Stew

The Grand Marais Playhouse presents Stone Dragon Stew, a one-act Children’s play on Saturday, November 7 at 2 pm at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts.

Grand Marais Al-Anon Meetings

Monday Night Al-Anon will meet Mondays, at 7 pm at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais.

Schroeder Township meeting

The regular Schroeder Township Board of Supervisors meeting is held on the second Tuesday of the month at the Schroeder Town Hall at 7 pm.  More information at schroedertownship.com.
