WTIP Scenic Route Music Series Presents Charlie Parr

WTIP Scenic Route Music Series Presents Charlie Parr

The WTIP Scenic Route Music Series welcomes Blues/R&B guitarist Charlie Parr on Saturday, September 12th at 6:30 pm at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts in Grand Marais. Local instrumentalist Adam Kirsch will open with a short set. Admission is free. Ticket reservations are required prior to the performance due to limited seating. To reserve seats, please click here

Nature Presentation Interactions at Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center

Weekly nature presentations are held on the front porch of Chik-Wauk Museum (in case of inclement weather, the presentations will be held indoors at the Nature Center) on Mondays at 1 pm. All are welcome.

Monday Night Al-Anon will meet Mondays, at 7 pm at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais.

Happy Hikers

The Happy Hikers organize a weekly hike on Tuesdays at 9 am.  The September 15 hike will be at Moss Lake. The group will meet at the Cook County YMCA Parking Lot near the tennis courts to carpool, or meet at the trailhead. More information is available on the Happy Hikers – Cook Co. Savor the Summer - Food Preservation Workshops

The Northwoods Food Project’s Savor the Summer series: food preservation workshops with the Food Equipment Library continues on Tuesday, September 15 at the Cook County Community Center from 6-8 pm. The topic for this Tuesday is Introduction to High Acid Canning.

The Lutsen Township board meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Lutsen Town Hall at 7 pm. More information at lutsentownship.com.

Cook County West End Alanon

The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall.  Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics.  The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.

Northern Lotus Meditation

Northern Lotus Meditation takes place on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm, with instruction in meditation and room manners at 6:45 pm, at Two Birds Healing Arts Center in Grand Marais.

Memory Café

Care Partners of Cook County’s Memory Café meets on the third Thursday of each month, from 1-2:30 pm at The Hub. A Memory Café is a casual gathering where people with memory loss and the family or friends who care for them can come together in a safe, supportive, relaxed environment.

Grand Marais Farmers Market

The Grand Marais Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6 pm at the Cook County Community Center Parking Lot. The market is operated as a partnership between the Northwoods Food Project, the Cook County Community Center, and Cook County U of MN Extension.
