Open meetings for AA, NA, Alanon

The Shepherds Reach Recovery Ministry is hosting open meetings for AA, NA, and ALANON on Friday nights at 6 PM at Cornerstone Community Church. When the weather permits, bonfires will follow the meetings. Open to all.

Presentations on Life in Palestine before 1948

Cook County for Palestine is hosting a two-part presentation on life in Palestine before 1948 by Cook County resident Dr. Muain Haseeb at Cook County Higher Education. Part one is on Friday, April 24, from 6 to 8 pm. Part 2 on Friday, May 1, from 6 to 8 pm. More information at cookcountyforpalestine.org.

Free Laundry Day

All are welcome to participate in the second annual Free Laundry Day at Squig’s Laundromat on Saturday, April 25, from 9 am to 2 pm.

It’s also an opportunity with Bethlehem Lutheran Church to connect with neighbors while enjoying morning coffee and donuts, lunch sandwiches contributed by Grand Marais Subway, and snacks donated by Crosby Bakery and the Cook County Co-op.

North Shore Health Laboratory Open House

North Shore Health’s Laboratory will host an Open House on Saturday, April 25, from 10 am to 3 pm in the NSH multi-purpose room. The event offers a behind-the-scenes look at the science that supports patient care every day, and is open to the public.

Doubles Cribbage Tournament

The fifth annual Bob Pratt Skills, Trades, and Technology Scholarship Double Cribbage Tournament fundraiser will be held Saturday, April 25, at the Birch Terrace Supper Club. Check-in begins at 12:30 pm with the first match at 1 pm. More information and registration at mycche.org/events.

Garden Education Day

Cook County Master Gardeners will host Garden Education Day on Saturday, April 25, from 1 to 4:30 pm at Cook County Higher Education. The event is designed to inspire both novice and seasoned green thumbs with expert-led presentations, hands-on make-and-take activities, and personalized sessions. Grief Group

Care Partners of Cook County is hosting a grief group on the second and fourth Mondays from 6:30 to 8 pm at the Johnson Heritage Post. Gatherings are facilitated by Care Partners staff. No pre-registration is required. More information is available at carepartnersofcookcounty.org.

Ecstatic Dance Grand Marais
