Cook County West End Alanon

The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall.  Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics.  The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.

Northern Lotus Meditation

Northern Lotus Meditation takes place on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm, with instruction in meditation and room manners at 6:45 pm, at Two Birds Healing Arts Center in Grand Marais.

Death Doulas Series - Meeting the Spiritual and Emotional Challenges of Aging

Cook County Higher Education is hosting “Meeting the Spiritual and Emotional Challenges of Aging” on Thursday, April 23, from 11:30 am to 1 pm at CCHE. Grand Marais Farmers Market Open House

A Grand Marais Farmers Market Open House will be held on Thursday, April 23, from 3 to 6 pm at the Cook County Community Center.  This is an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about how to become a vendor. The first market of the season is scheduled for June 18 at the community center.

Superior National Forest open house

The Superior National Forest invites the public to a Gunflint Ranger District open house on Thursday,  April 23, from 3 to 4:30 pm at the Schaap Community Center. Forest Supervisor Tom Hall, district rangers, and project staff will share information about mission-critical work, including upcoming road and trail construction, prescribed fire, active management, recreation projects, and more.

Drop In Practice - Modern Dance Classes for All Abilities

Drop-in Modern Dance Classes will take place on Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Colvill Town Hall. The classes are designed for adults of all abilities in a welcoming, non-judgmental space. More information is available by email, DropInPractice@gmail.com.

Open meetings for AA, NA, Alanon

The Shepherds Reach Recovery Ministry is hosting open meetings for AA, NA, and ALANON on Friday nights at 6 PM at Cornerstone Community Church. When the weather permits, bonfires will follow the meetings. Open to all.

Presentations on Life in Palestine before 1948

Cook County for Palestine is hosting a two-part presentation on life in Palestine before 1948 by Cook County resident Dr. Muain Haseeb at Cook County Higher Education.
