Lake County emergency management director announces retirement plans

BJ Kohlstedt, the Lake County emergency management director, has announced that she is retiring in August. The retirement plan has been in the works since 2019, long before the COVID-19 pandemic changed much of the operations for her position in northeastern Minnesota.

WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs spoke with Kohlstedt about her retirement plans and the transition to a new emergency manager for Lake County as the coronavirus pandemic rolls along.
