Local physician says some tourists visiting the North Shore testing positive for COVID-19

The case count for COVID-19 among Cook County residents remains low, with two confirmed reports as of July 30.

However, there are positive results turning up in some of the tourists who are visiting and staying in Cook County during the summer of 2020, according to Dr. Kurt Farchmin from Sawtooth Mountain Clinic in Grand Marais.

Dr. Farchmin spoke with WTIP’s Joe Friedrichs about the low case count among local residents and some of the positive COVID tests turning up in people who are visiting the North Shore and Cook County this summer.
