WTIP Boundary Waters Podcast Visits Isle Royale

In June 2021, the WTIP Boundary Waters Podcast team visited Isle Royale National Park. Hosts Matthew Baxley and Joe Friedrichs traveled on the Voyageur II from Grand Portage to Isle Royale, crossing about 22 miles over Lake Superior waters on boat. The podcast duo met with park staff, wildlife researchers and volunteers with the Moose Watch Program during their time on the island. They also saw 18 moose over the course of five days and hiked many miles across the iconic island.
