West End township election outcomes
On March 12, the three Cook County West End townships held their elections and annual meetings.
Lutsen, Tofte, and Schroeder township residents cast their ballots from 5 to 8 p.m. Below are the results of the March 12 elections:
Lutsen
- Chris Homyak was re-elected as supervisor
- Sam McQuatters-Spangle was re-elected as clerk
Tofte
- Gordon Engstrom was elected as clerk
- April Fredrick was elected as treasurer
- Sam Crowley was re-elected as supervisor
Craig Horak, the supervisor for the Tofte Township, told WTIP on March 18 following the elections, “We really appreciate all those guys stepping up to the plate. We have a full board.”
Schroeder
- Bruce Martinson was re-elected as supervisor
Anna Green held the former clerk position and did not run for re-election. There were no write-in candidates.
Schroeder Town Supervisor Tina McKeever said the township approved a resolution to appoint a clerk from outside the township. “So in April, we will be appointing a new person to fill our clerk position,” McKeever said.
