Logging near Gunflint Trail to resume at George Washington Pines
Logging and other forest-management practices at George Washington Pines near the Gunflint Trail are part of an ongoing project on Superior National Forest. The project will include tree harvest, prescribed burning, reforestation, fuel reduction and wildlife habitat improvement actions.
While this information is not new with regard to local forest management, it has been a topic of concern for some local residents.
