More Events: Visit Cook County
The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall. Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics. The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.
Northern Lotus Meditation takes place on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm, with instruction in meditation and room manners at 6:45 pm, at Two Birds Healing Arts Center in Grand Marais.
Joy and Company hosts Thursday Art Night every Thursday from 3:30 – 5 pm. New events are planned each week. More information is available on the Joy and Company Facebook page.
The Grand Marais Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6 pm through mid-October at the Cook County Community Center parking lot. The market is a partnership between the Northwoods Food Project (a 501c3 non-profit organization), the Cook County Community Center, and the Cook County U of MN Extension.

Grand Marais Art Colony hosts the opening reception for Walking the Croftville Road by Hazel Belvo on Thursday, September 4, from 4:30 to 6 pm at Studio 21. The exhibition will run through October 25. More information is available at grandmaraisartcolony.org.
The Finland Summer Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 5 to 6:30 pm under the pavilions at the Clair Nelson Center in Finland. More information is available at finlandfarmersmarket.com.
The Cook County Community is invited to a vigil at the Maple Hill Church on Thursday, September 4, at 5:30 pm. Hosted by Spirit of the Wilderness and led by Father Pio Atonio, Pastor Peggy Schnack, and Pastor Enno Limvere. The gathering is to light candles, pray, and lament the violence in our state and nation.
