More Events: Visit Cook County
The Cook County Highway Department will host a public informational meeting on Tuesday, June 23, from 5 to 7 pm at the Hovland Town Hall. Community members are invited to learn more about several roadway and infrastructure projects scheduled for construction this summer, including:
Duluth-based printmaker and teacher Kelly Dupre will host a two-hour creative workshop on relief and monoprint making on Wednesday, June 24 from 3 to 5 pm at the A. Paul & Carol Schaap Community Center.

The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall. Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics. The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.
Northern Lotus Meditation takes place on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm, with instruction in meditation and room manners at 6:45 pm, at Two Birds Healing Arts Center in Grand Marais.
Joy & Co. hosts Art Counter Projects on Thursdays from 3 to 4:30 pm. The activities are a self-guided adventure at the Art Counter with help if required. June will feature Fans and Wheels.
The Grand Marais Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6 pm at the Cook County Community Center Parking Lot. The market is operated as a partnership between the Northwoods Food Project, the Cook County Community Center, and Cook County U of MN Extension.
The Finland Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 5 to 6:30 pm at the Clair Nelson Center pavilions.
Cook County, North Shore Waste, and the Cook County Chamber of Commerce invite the public to celebrate the completion of the new Grand Marais Transfer Station at a ribbon cutting and open house event on Friday, June 26, from 10 am to 1 pm. The event will take place at the Grand Marais Transfer Station (75 Eliasen Mill Road, Grand Marais).
Families and children are invited to a children’s music performance at the Grand Marais Public Library on Friday, June 26, at 3:30 pm with The Jolly Pops. The Jolly Pops We Are Happy Dads concert blends original songs with familiar children’s favorites.
The event is part of the library’s 2026 Summer Reading Program.
