Bone Builders is a group exercise weight training program that was created for adults who are interested in preventing and reducing osteoporosis. Bone Builders meets at the Lutsen Town Hall on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 am.
Monday Night Al-Anon will meet Mondays, at 7 pm at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais.
UMN Extension and Cook County Soil and Water Conservation District host Resilient Forests: Hands-on Stewardship for the North Shore on Tuesday, May 6, from 1 to 4 pm at the Grand Marais Recreation Park Rec Hall Building. The workshop will focus on actions landowners can start taking on their own to manage and improve the health of their woodlands. A majority of the afternoon with all outdoors at Sweetheart’s Bluff.

The Grand Marais Public Library hosts a writing workshop on Writer’s Block with award-winning novelist Brian Malloy on Wednesday, May 7 from 6 to 8 pm. The workshop will be geared toward adults and youth, ages fourteen and above. Attendees should bring paper and a pen or pencil. The workshop is part of a series of workshops led by Malloy at the Library.

The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall. Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics. The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.
