Grand Marais Al-Anon Meetings

Monday Night Al-Anon will meet Mondays, at 7 pm at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais.

Happy Hikers

The Happy Hikers organize a weekly hike on Tuesdays at 9 am.  The September 29 hike will be LeVeaux Mountain. The group will meet at the Gitchi-Gami Bike State Trail Parking Lot on Highway 61 and Ski Hill Road to carpool, or meet at the trailhead. More information is available on the Happy Hikers – Cook Co. North Shore Health June-September Artists’ Reception

North Shore Health will host an Artists’ Reception celebrating the June- September art and artists on Tuesday, September 29, from 4:00–5:15 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room and Lobby. Community members are invited to explore current local art exhibits, meet the artists who contribute to NSH’s rotating displays, and enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments.

North Shore Women Veterans Support & Connection Group

Cook County Higher Education hosts North Shore Women Veterans Support & Connection Group Building on Tuesday, September 29, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Facilitated by Karen Christianson, Cook County Veterans Services Veterans Services Officer.

American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED  

Cook County Higher Education hosts American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED training on Wednesday, September 30, from 9 am to 12:30 pm. American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid training will take place from 1 to 4 pm.

Sand Painting & Rangoli

The Grand Marais Public Library presents Sand Painting & Rangoli with COMPAS Artist Shakuntala Maheshwari on Wednesday, September 30 at 2:30 pm. The workshop is two hours long and designed for ages 10 and up. Space is limited due to the hands-on instruction. Registration and more information at grandmaraislibrary.org or 218-387-1140.

Cook County West End Alanon

The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall.  Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics.  The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.

Northern Lotus Meditation

Northern Lotus Meditation takes place on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm, with instruction in meditation and room manners at 6:45 pm, at Two Birds Healing Arts Center in Grand Marais.

Storytime at the Grand Marais Library

Storytime at the Grand Marais Public Library takes place on select Thursdays throughout the fall at 10:30 AM. The program is specifically geared toward preschool-aged children.

Grand Marais Farmers Market

The Grand Marais Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6 pm at the Cook County Community Center Parking Lot. The market is operated as a partnership between the Northwoods Food Project, the Cook County Community Center, and Cook County U of MN Extension.
