Cook County Higher Education is providing a 2-day Wilderness First Aid (WFA) WMAI on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 13 & 14, from 8 am-6 pm. Wilderness Participants will learn to recognize medical emergencies, develop essential life-saving skills, and gain hands-on experience with patient assessment and basic field care for common wilderness injuries.

The Cook County Board of Commissioners meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Room.
Bone Builders is a group exercise weight training program that was created for adults who are interested in preventing and reducing osteoporosis. Bone Builders meets at the Lutsen Town Hall on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 am.
The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall. Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics. The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.
Northern Lotus Meditation takes place on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm, with instruction in meditation and room manners at 6:45 pm, at Two Bird Healing Arts Center in Grand Marais.
Care Partners of Cook County’s Memory Café meets on the third Thursday of each month, from 1-2:30 pm at The Hub. A Memory Café is a casual gathering where people with memory loss and the family or friends who care for them can come together in a safe, supportive, relaxed environment.

Casey Wytaske will cover essential bike maintenance skills, including flat tire repairs, chain fixes, diagnosing shifting issues, and what to carry for emergency repairs on your mountain, gravel, or road bike.
