The Grand Marais Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6 pm through mid-October at the Cook County Community Center parking lot. The market is a partnership between the Northwoods Food Project (a 501c3 non-profit organization), the Cook County Community Center, and the Cook County U of MN Extension.

Drury Lane Books hosts Full Moon Poetry on Thursday, July 10 from 6 to 8 pm. This is an open community bonfire where all are encouraged to share a favorite piece of prose or literature. Meet just behind the shop on the beach side. More information is available at drurylanebooks.com.
Cook County Schools hosts a summer food program from June 9 to August 15. The program provides meals for all children 18 and younger. No registration or income requirements necessary.
Meals are Monday to Friday, breakfast from 8:30 to 9:15 am, and lunch from 11:15 am to noon. Meals must be eaten in the cafeteria.
The Films on Fridays series continues at the Cook County Community Center on Friday, July 11, at 6 pm. This series includes black-and-white films from the 1920s through the 1960s. Genres include romantic, comedy, drama, mystery, and noir. All are welcome.
Additional Films on Fridays will be at 6 pm on July 18.

The Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery is displaying recent and past works from Brock Larson that Capture Northern Life. The gallery exhibit will run through July 13.

Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center hosts All about loons with National Loon Center on Sunday, July 13, from 2 to 3 pm. Maddi Nistler, member of the Minnesota GreenCorps program serving her second term as Community Outreach and Readiness personnel at the National Loon Center in Crosslake, MN, will lead the presentation. Bone Builders is a group exercise weight training program that was created for adults who are interested in preventing and reducing osteoporosis. Bone Builders meets at the Lutsen Town Hall on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 am.
