Northern Lotus Meditation takes place on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm, with instruction in meditation and room manners at 6:45 pm, at Two Birds Healing Arts Center in Grand Marais.
The Grand Marais Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6 pm at the Cook County Community Center Parking Lot. The market is operated as a partnership between the Northwoods Food Project, the Cook County Community Center, and Cook County U of MN Extension.
The Finland Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 5 to 6:30 pm at the Clair Nelson Center pavilions.
Drop-in Modern Dance Classes take place on Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Colvill Town Hall, with a rotating cast of teachers: Steph Vos, Rachel Clark, Margaret Johnson, and Lenna Stever-Sobanja. No dance experience needed.
North House Folk School hosts First Fridays, a monthly series of community gatherings on campus. Meet on the Commons and the Blue Building each month for activities, speakers, dancing, games, and more at 5:30 pm. More information is available at northhouse.org.

The Cook County Market is held on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm at The Hub parking lot. The market features local arts, artists, and artisans. More information by searching Cook County Market on Facebook.
Weekly nature presentations are held on the front porch of Chik-Wauk Museum (in case of inclement weather, the presentations will be held indoors at the Nature Center) on Mondays at 1 pm. All are welcome.

Monday Night Al-Anon will meet Mondays, at 7 pm at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais.
The Happy Hikers organize a weekly hike on Tuesdays at 9 am. The October 6 hike will be SHT Bean and Bear Lake, Silver Bay. The group will meet at the Gitchi-Gami Bike State Trail Parking Lot on Highway 61 and Ski Hill Road to carpool, or meet at the trailhead. More information is available on the Happy Hikers – Cook Co.
