The Cook County Historical Society leads Harbor History Walking Tours on Fridays from 7 to 8:30 pm (weather permitting). Interested participants can meet outside the History Museum and should be able to walk approximately a mile on uneven surfaces. More information at cookcountyhistory.org.

The public is invited to the grand opening celebration of the exhibit Zagaandagaa-Anishinaabeg, People of the Thick Coniferous Forest on Saturday, August 22 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center. The event will feature guest speakers, music by Briand Morrison, and refreshments.
Chik-Wauk Nature Center hosts wildlife biologist Sammi Shimota for a presentation on the obstacles moose must overcome to survive in Minnesota on Sunday, August 23, at 2 pm.
