Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center hosts naturalist Margie Menzies for a presentation “Hawks of the North Woods Counting for Conservation” on Thursday, July 28 from 6 to 7 pm.

Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center hosts Kelly Amoth, program coordinator with the Get the Lead OUt program at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, on Saturday, July 30 at 11 am. Kelly will share how loons ingest lead fishing tackle, how to know if you’re fishing with lead, and action steps we can all take to protect loons in Minnesota.
Cook County Historical Society hosts Harbor History Tours on Saturday afternoons at 1 pm. Weather permitting, the tour begins at the History Museum (8 South Broadway Ave, Grand Marais) and you will walk down to the Coast Guard Station with a tour guide. Visible relics of the past will be discussed and you will hear stories of this small harbor and community.
*Children must be accompanied by an adult.
