Long-time story reader Kevin Kager hosts Children’s Story Hour outside Drury Lane Books on Saturdays at 11 am.
Get the Lead Out with Kelly Amoth
Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center hosts Kelly Amoth, program coordinator with the Get the Lead OUt program at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, on Saturday, July 30 at 11 am. Kelly will share how loons ingest lead fishing tackle, how to know if you’re fishing with lead, and action steps we can all take to protect loons in Minnesota.
Harbor History Tour
Cook County Historical Society hosts Harbor History Tours on Saturday afternoons at 1 pm. Weather permitting, the tour begins at the History Museum (8 South Broadway Ave, Grand Marais) and you will walk down to the Coast Guard Station with a tour guide. Visible relics of the past will be discussed and you will hear stories of this small harbor and community.
*Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Living with Loons - Sherry Abts "The Loon Ranger"
Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center hosts loon expert Sherry Abts for a presentation on “Living with Loons” on Sunday, July 31 at 2 pm. More information at gunflinthistory.org.

Boreal Community Media is offering community tech support events twice a week at The Hub (Senior Center) throughout the summer. Walk-in events will take place on:
Mondays: 8:00-11:30 and 12:30-4:00
Thursdays: 12:30-4:00
Happy Hikers
The Happy Hikers will be hiking Lake Agnes on Wednesday, August 3. The group meets at the YMCA parking lot at 9 am. More information is available from Carol Morgen at carol@morgen.us or 715-377-2526.
