Joy & Co. hosts Art Counter Projects on Thursdays from 3 to 4:30 pm. The activities are a self-guided adventure at the Art Counter with help if required. June will feature Fans and Wheels.

The Finland Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 5 to 6:30 pm at the Clair Nelson Center pavilions.
Cook County, North Shore Waste, and the Cook County Chamber of Commerce invite the public to celebrate the completion of the new Grand Marais Transfer Station at a ribbon cutting and open house event on Friday, June 26, from 10 am to 1 pm. The event will take place at the Grand Marais Transfer Station (75 Eliasen Mill Road, Grand Marais).

The Cook County Historical Society 2026 Speaker Series continues with a talk from former Cook County Deputy Sheriff Dick Dorr on Saturday, June 27, from 2 to 4 pm at the Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery. His presentation and book, Chasing Justice, navigate the balance between duty and compassion in a rural landscape where every call brought the unexpected.
Cook County for Palestine is hosting a film screening of Palestine 36 on Saturday, June 27, at 5:30 pm in the Cook County Community Center Log Cabin.
Drury Lane Books hosts an author talk with Meg Gorzycki on Saturday, June 27, from 6 to 7:30 pm. Meg will read segments from her book, Remember the Main, and will be available for discussion and questions after the reading and presentation.
Chik-Wauk Nature Center hosts artist, builder, woodworker, writer, and master paddler Keith Morris for a presentation, “Growing up on the Gunflint Trail,” on Sunday, June 28, at 2 pm. More information at gunflinthistory.org.
