The Cook County Board of Commissioners meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Room.
The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall. Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics. The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.
Northern Lotus Meditation takes place on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm, with instruction in meditation and room manners at 6:45 pm, at Two Birds Healing Arts Center in Grand Marais.
Cook County Higher Education and North Woods Sustainable Housing Project are hosting Exemplary Homes in and Around Cook County on Thursday, June 11, from 8:30 to 10:30 am at CCHE or Zoom. More information at myCCHE.org/events.
Summer solstice puppet-making workshops are being held at the Cook County Community Center on Thursdays and Fridays from 3 to 8 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 1 pm and 3 to 8 pm. No experience is necessary, and you don’t need to perform in the show to help create it.

Cook County Recycling is collecting items for recycling including TVs, monitors, laptops, lamps, batteries, and small appliances on Saturday, June 13 from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Cook County Recycling Center.
