Reframe Aging Monthly Roundtable

Care Partners of Cook County hosts a reframe aging monthly roundtable on the third Monday of each month from 12:15 to 1:45 pm at The Hub. A specially-selected book of the month serves as a springboard for the discussion. More information is available at carepartnersofcookcounty.org.

Nature Presentation Interactions at Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center

Weekly nature presentations are held on the front porch of Chik-Wauk Museum (in case of inclement weather, the presentations will be held indoors at the Nature Center) on Mondays at 1 pm. All are welcome.

Tofte, Lutsen, Schroeder Summer Blood Drive

The Tofte, Lutsen, Schroeder Summer Blood Drive will be held on Monday, July 20, from 2 to 6 pm at Zoar Church in Tofte. Appointments are required. They can be made on the Memorial Blood Centers website or by calling Terri at 651-398-7838.

Grief Group

Care Partners of Cook County is hosting a grief group on the 3rd Monday of each month at the Care Partners office from 5 to 6:30 pm. Care Partners Executive Director Julie Wilson will facilitate the gatherings.  No registration is required.  More information at carepartnersofcookcounty.org.

Grand Marais Al-Anon Meetings

Monday Night Al-Anon will meet Mondays, at 7 pm at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais.

Happy Hikers

The Happy Hikers organize a weekly hike on Tuesdays at 9 am.  The July 21 hike will be at SHT Pike Lake Road to Bally Creek Rd/US FS RD 158. The group will meet at the trailhead. More information is available on the Happy Hikers – Cook Co. MN Community Facebook page.

MNHS's Greater Minnesota Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ History Map Presentation & Story Gathering Event

Cook County Higher Education and the Minnesota Historical Society’s Inclusion and Community Engagement Department are hosting a virtual presentation about the Greater Minnesota Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ History Map on Tuesday, July 21, from noon to 1 pm over Zoom. The Lutsen Township board meets on the third Tuesday of each month at the Lutsen Town Hall at 7 pm. More information at lutsentownship.com.

Saving Lives for Payton Blood Drive, sponsored by Mike’s Circle K

The Saving Lives for Payton Blood Drive will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, July 22 and 23. The Memorial Blood Centers bus will be parked at Mike’s Circle K in Grand Marais.

Appointments for Wednesday from 11 am to 6 pm can be made online here.  Appointments for Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm can be made online here.
