Grand Marais Garden Club meeting
The Grand Marais Garden Club will meet on Monday, October 12, from 10 to 11:30 am in the lower level of St. John’s Catholic Church. New members are welcome. Garden Club members manage the Rose Garden near the library and provide flowers in planters around Grand Marais businesses. More information from Ranna at 763-242-4248.
County Budget Listening Sessions
In September, the County Board set the preliminary levy at 11.98%. County Commissioners want to hear from constituents before setting the final levy and budget in December.
Cook County Commissioners will be hosting Community Listening Sessions for residents to share perspectives, ask questions, engage in dialogue, and learn how the budget supports local services and initiatives.

Grand Marais Al-Anon Meetings
Monday Night Al-Anon will meet Mondays, at 7 pm at the First Congregational Church in Grand Marais.
Schroeder Township meeting
The regular Schroeder Township Board of Supervisors meeting is held on the second Tuesday of the month at the Schroeder Town Hall at 7 pm. More information at schroedertownship.com.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners
The Cook County Board of Commissioners meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Room.
Violence Prevention Center open house
The Violence Prevention Center hosts an open house and ice cream social at its renovated office (21 W 2nd Street, Grand Marais) on Tuesday, October 13, from 5 to 7 pm.
Community Flu and COVID-19 Vaccine Events
Sawtooth Mountain Clinic has scheduled upcoming community flu and COVID-19 Vaccine events.

- Tuesday, October 27 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm (Gunflint Trail Schaap Community Center)
- Thursday, October 29 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm (Bluefin Bay Tofte Room)

Cook County West End Alanon
The West End Alanon family Group meets each Wednesday at 7 pm at the Lutsen Town Hall. Alanon is a group that supports friends and family members of alcoholics. The group welcomes anyone who has been affected by a friend or family member who has a problem with alcohol.
Northern Lotus Meditation
Northern Lotus Meditation takes place on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm, with instruction in meditation and room manners at 6:45 pm, at Two Birds Healing Arts Center in Grand Marais.
Storytime at the Grand Marais Library
Storytime at the Grand Marais Public Library takes place on select Thursdays throughout the fall at 10:30 AM. The program is specifically geared toward preschool-aged children.
